Our very first market on July 15th will be vending dozens of freelancers ready to chat up their talent, rates, and services at their booths.
About the Market
We created this market to further advocate for freelancers, gig workers, and service-based artisans of Grand Rapids that need more opportunities to meet new potential clients.
If you have questions for a freelancer or are looking for some work to be done, this event is for you! We're signing up talent that covers tons of industries from photography, videography, floral, web design and coding, and many types of consulting - just to name a few.
Come support the rich gig workers of the city!
Connect with your friends and invite your network on our Facebook page!
Freelancers
We are seeking any talent that either freelances or runs a team of three or fewer to showcase your freelance skills and get more clients!
Interested in a booth to chat up your services? See the FAQ section below!
FAQ for Freelancers
Interested in participating but not sure what all this is? Here’s what you need to know:
What’s the booth setup like? Each booth comes with a tablecloth, bottled water, a sign with your business name, and listing in our programming materials. You are welcome to bring additional items for your booth, and also items to sell, but we’re mostly interested in your services! Having a list of services to chat about when folks have questions would be helpful.
What’s the booth fee? Booths are only $15 for Studio members and $35 for the public.
What do I need to do to participate? Start with signing up here. Booth fees can be collected before or during the event at a kiosk. You will need to be at the entire event to participate, and to be considered for future markets. The event is from 4pm - 8pm and you must be there the whole time.
Where is the first market? The Fulton Street Farmer’s Market is a beautiful neighborhood hosting vendors and special events many times a week. It’s a completely outdoor and accessible venue with lots of space to peruse! Check out more about their markets here !
How do you define a ‘freelancer’? A freelancer for this event is anyone who creates services or products for others, and works for themselves. This can be any type of artisan, designer, developer, consultant, or one of many other industries that provide a service as part of how they make money. Some freelancers are full time, some part time, and some do a little on the side at many capacities. If you fit this category then this event is for you!
I still need further assistance! No problem! Any further questions can be directed to events@littlespacestudio.com 🚀
