DASH (Downtown Area Shuttle)
FREE ride service runs every 8 minutes – download the Transit app (iOS & Android) for real-time schedules.
The service connects Downtown neighborhoods and destinations, enabling drivers to park once, leave the car and travel easily around Downtown. Cost-conscious drivers may also choose to park in cheaper lots on the edges of Downtown, and take DASH to travel around the neighborhoods. Street Parking
The City of Grand Rapids now manages approximately 2,000 metered on-street spaces in Downtown GR with varying rates, time limits and hours of enforcement. Use this interactive map to check locations and rates. Drivers can pay with cash and credit card at meters and pays stations.
Download the Motu app (Google Play, App Store or via the web app) to pay using your mobile device, which makes it easier to extend your session on-the-go.
For Employee & Resident Parking, Mobile GR operates numerous public lots and ramps that provide reserved spaces in and around Downtown starting at just $48 and $154 per month.

In a Downtown that boasts some 48,000 (!!!) spaces, that can’t be true. What people likely mean is, “I got Downtown and didn’t understand how to park." So, let’s help your customers become Downtown parking pros:

Inexpensive: Nobody wants to pay for parking (even though free parking has a high cost), help customers get a good deal by…
Informing them the Monroe Center Ramp offers free parking for 60 minutes before 6 PM. Reminding them about the MOTU App so they can conveniently pay for parking (and hopefully avoid tickets!). Encouraging them to park in a DASH lot; they’re inexpensive and the DASH is free!
Avoid parking altogether: Customers can utilize public transportation options, like: The Silver Line, Laker Line and Rapid City Bus.
Pro tip: There’s an app for that too! The My Stop App shows stop locations and tracks buses in real-time. And… Customers can always use rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft.
